What is very low calorie diet (VLCD)?
   
Very low calorie diets are defined as diets ranging from 400 to 500 calories. VLCD is a commercially prepared formula that replaces all usual food intake. Under proper guidance, it produces significant short-term weight loss in moderate to severely obese people.

Are there any side effects?
   
Appeton Fat Loss Premier 7-day Programme is safe. No side effects will occur if it is consumed according to the instructions, together with plenty of fluid daily. Only a small group of users will experience some temporary discomforts that are sometimes associated with weight loss regimes, such as hunger, constipation, bad breath, mild dizziness and diarrhoea.

Can I take Appeton Fat Loss Premier 7-day Programme as a sole source of diet for more than 7 days?
   
Since this is a very low calorie diet, it is not recommended to take it as a sole source of diet for more than 7 days. After a week of taking it as a sole source, you should only take 1 or 2 servings of Appeton Fat Loss as a substitution for normal meals. Please consult doctor if you want to continue with the 7 days programme.

Instead of a drastic drop in my weight, how can I lose weight gradually?
   
For gradual weight loss, use Appeton Fat Loss Maintenance Programme to replace 2 of your normal meals. This way, you can still enjoy you family dinner or business lunch as usual.

What would happen if I stop taking Appeton Fat Loss after achieving my target weight in the Premier 7-day Programme?
   
After the Premier 7-day Programme ends, there is a high possibility of rapid weight regain. Thus, it is recommended to continue substituting your meals with Appeton Fat Loss Maintenance Programme once or twice a day to maintain your ideal weight until it is stable.

Should I take any other vitamins supplement when taking Appeton Fat Loss Premier 7-day Programme?
   
All the essential vitamins that are required for the proper functioning of your body have already been included in Appeton Fat Loss Premier 7-day Programme. Hence, it is not necessary to take extra supplements. Each sachet offers a third of the recommended dietary allowances of all vitamins, minerals and trace elements (3 sachets a day will give the complete daily requirement). However, this is a matter of personal preference. Patients on medication are not recommended to go on this Premier 7-day Programme.

Why must I drink lots of water?
   
It is recommended to take at least 3 litres of fluid daily:
- due to the natural water loss caused by the very low calorie diet, the intake of water is very   important to prevent dehydration
- as sole source of diet, the fluid that you normally obtain from food will be considerably reduced.
- extra fluid enables the body to get rid of waste products e.g. ketones from the more efficient   breakdown of fat tissues.

Can someone with lactose intolerance use this product?
   
Lactose intolerance is the inability to digest lactose (milk sugar) which as a result, causes diarrhoea. It is due to the deficiency of lactase - an enzyme released by the small intestine that allows milk sugar to be absorbed into the blood stream. Appeton Fat Loss has been formulated to have low lactose content, therefore the above problem can be minimized.

Can I mix the Appeton Fat Loss drink with other beverages eg. Milo, Ovaltine, Horlicks & sugar?
   
This is not recommended since the calories for each sachet of Appeton Fat Loss have been fixed for the purpose of weight loss. By adding other beverages to Appeton Fat Loss, you will never know the amount of calories consumed.

Can I boil the soup?
   
No. The Appeton Fat Loss diet meal contains vitamins that are sensitive to extreme heat. You should only add water or boiling water (for soup) to the powder and mix. Do not mix and then bring to boil as this will destroy the vitamins.

Can vegetarians take this product?
   
This is a milk-based product that consists of Omega-3 from fish oil. Therefore, it may not be suitable for vegetarians.

I always feel hungry easily, I can't stand hunger. What should I do?
   
You can split a sachet into two meals instead of one. Example for breakfast, you can have half of one sachet at 8am and take the other half at 10am. Then you can do so for lunch and dinner too. May be you can take your last meal just before going to sleep. With this, you still be able to maintain the calorie intake in a day with 3 sachet of Appeton Fat Loss.

Yes. 'Halal' certificate has been obtained from International Halal Inspection Department. Thus, it is safe for Muslim consumption.

Appeton Fat Loss Premier 7-days Program is not suitable for pregnant women and breastfeeding mother due to their special requirement on calorie and nutrient intake.

You can choose to have cardiovascular exercise such as swimming and brisk walking or you also can have body toning exercise at home such as skipping, stretching and sit-up exercise. It is better to have exercise at least 3 times a week and at least 30 minute for each time. Remember, any exercise program should be performed at least half and hour before taking your Appeton Fat Loss meal-replacement. Please warm-up before doing any exercise.
